Where have you gone Colby Rasmus. If you ask Cardinals fans, you think the guy was done but that’s hardly the case. The Cardinals had one of the top prospects in all of baseball in Rasmus and he fell flat and was hurt most of the year. Still, the Cardinals had some great succes in the minors as detailed in this . Each affiliate finished above .500 and there were some pleasant surprises along the way.
David Freese was the top hitter in the system. He hit 26 homers and drove in 91 in a breakout season for the third baseman. Jess Todd nabbed best pitcher and he started at High A and finished at Triple A, striking out 136 on the way.
Brett Wallace was the team’s first round pick and he finished the season at Double A, which is almost unheard of for a current year draft pick. Second round pick Lance Lynn also had a nice debut and it’ll be nice to see what those two can do in a full season.
We still have our warm days and I like to get out to the cage now and then. I’ve had a hard time finding a good selection on here in town so I’ve gone to the internet and finally found my home, Baseball Rampage. If you need anything, you can find it there. I picked up a the other day for myself.
