by @ 10:21 am. Filed under 1967 Cardinals, 1967 Cardinals Diary - April

April 25, 1967 at the Astrodome

Cardinals 4, Astros 0  (8-3)

Al Jackson threw a gem.  He had a no hitter going through seven innings until Bob Aspromonte broke it up with a lead off single in the eighth inning.  Jacskon did walk three and strikeout three, but that was the only hit of the game against him.

Lou Brock had two more hits including a double and it was the ninth time in ten games that he had a multihit game.  He also drove in a run and scored.  Tim McCarver went two for four with a homerun, two runs and two RBIs.
