Cardinals 6, Robins 2 (66-50)
The Cardinals made it five straight wins as they finished up a sweep over the Robins. Bill Sherdel was very sharp on the mound. He gave up two early runs in the second inning but held the Robins scoreless the rest of the way. He gave up two runs eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts.
Rogers Hornsby put up three hits and he scored a run in the win. Ray Blades had two hits and two runs and Sherdel helped out his cause with two hits and a run.
