Bill Sherdel Shuts Down Giants in Cardinals Win

Cardinals 6, Giants 1  (49-42)

Bill Sherdel shut down the Giants and the Cardinals broke a two game losing streak.  Sherdel gave up only a single run on eight hits with one strikeout.

Taylor Douthit had two singles and he scored two of the Cardinals’ six runs.  Billy Southworth and Tommy Thevenow both had two hits.  The big inning for the Cardinals was a three run third.
