The Cardinals ended their four game skid  with a win in the series opener against the Brooklyn Robins.  Bill Sherdel didn’t throw his best game (four runs on eight hits) but he came a single short of hitting for the cycle.  He doubled, tripled, homered and scored three times in the Cardinals win.

Les Bell singled, tripled and scored a run.  Taylor Douthit had two hits.
