Cardinals 5, Reds 0  (10-7)

The Cardinals did a number on the Reds and ended their four game losing streak with a two hit shutout by Bob Gibson.  The right hander walked just two batters and he struck out 12 in an impressive outing.

Mike Shannon provided most of the offense for the Cardinals with a bases loaded clearing double in the fifth inning.  Curt Flood went two for five and Roger Maris went one for three with a walk, a run and an RBI.
