May 7, 1967 at Wrigley Field
Cubs 5, Cardinals 4  (12-9)

Not even Bob Gibson could get the Cardinals back on track.  After striking out the first two batters in the ninth, he gave up a double and a single to lose it in his second loss of the season.  He gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings.

Orlando Cepeda had a nice day at the plate.  He went two for four with a homerun and two runs scored.  Mike Shannon hit a solo homerun and Lou Brock went two for four with a run.
