Bob Gibson Strikes Out Eleven In Cardinals Third Straight Win

Cardinals 6, Mets 3  (18-11)

Bob Gibson gave up his share of hits in the Cardinals win over the Mets, but he also got his share of strikeouts as he put 11 Mets down on strikes in eight innings.  He gave up three runs on eight hits and two walks.

Lou Brock hit homerun number seven and he scored two runs in the win.  Julian Javier homered and he drove in two runs.
