Bob Gibson made his return to the mound and he threw five solid frames in the Cardinals win over the Mets.  He gave up two runs on eight hits and a walk with four strikeouts and the win improved his record to 11-6.

Roger Maris had a nice game.  He went two for four with two walks, a homerun, two RBIs and three runs.  Dal Maxvil had a team high four hits and he drove in two runs.
