Cardinals 3, Pirates 3  (36-28)

At the end of nine innings of play, the Cardinals and Pirates were tied at three a piece.  Both teams agreed to call the game a tie so the Pirates could catch their train to play in Cincinnati the next day.

Flint Rhem threw eight solid innings and he gave up three runs on five hits.  Eight different Cardinals had each of the eight hits in the game and all three Cardinals’ runs were scored in the eighth inning.
