The Cardinals continued their skid at the hands of the Giants in a series in which they lost four of five games.  Vic Keen had a shutout through five innings before he gave up a single run in the sixth and then three in the seventh.

Bob O’Farrell homered in the loss.  Jim Bottomley doubled and singled, and the other Cardinals’ run was scored by Taylor Douthit.
