June 1, 1926 at Wrigley Field
Cubs 10, Cardinals 9  (23-25)

The Cardinals continued their struggles and dropped a high scoring one run game to the Cubs.  The Cardinals had the lead in two instances and tied the game up one other time but a single run in the bottom of the eighth by the Cubs was the difference.

Bill Sherdel got the start and he was hit hard.  He last only 3 1/3 innings.  Allen Sothoron took the loss and he gave up four runs in 3 2/3 innings.

Jim Bottomley went yard for the Cardinals.  Ray Blades, Bottomley and Les Bell all scored twice and five different Cubs had a multihit game.
