Cardinals Edge Dodgers In Eleven Innings

Cardinals 3, Dodgers 2  (68-43)

The Cardinals ended their two game skid and topped the Dodgers in extra frames.  Mike Shannon scored on an error by Parker to win it after he led off the eleventh with a double.  Lou Brock had three hits including a solo homerun while Eddie Bressoud belted his first homerun of the season.

Larry Jaster was just as good as Don Drysdale and he gave up just two runs in ten innings pitched.  Ron Willis threw a shutout eleventh and he improved to 5-3 on the season.
