Cardinals Held to Five Hits in Shutout Loss to Giants

Giants 6, Cardinals 0  (77-47)

Orlando Cepeda was the only Cardinal hitter who could really get anything going as the Cardinals lost for the third time in four games.  He went three for three and he had three of the Cards five hits.

Steve Carlton fell to 11-7 on the season.  He gave up four runs on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts in just four innings.
