Cardinals Held to Seven Hits In Loss to Astros

June 5, 1967 at Busch Stadium
Astros 5, Cardinals 2  (27-18)

The Cardinals had a tough time at the plate in a loss in their series opener against the Astros and it was only the hot hitting Lou Brock who was able to do much against Astros’ starter Dave Giusti.  He went three for five with two doubles and he scored one of the Cardinals runs.  Orlando Cepeda went two for three with a walk and an RBI.

Larry Jaster didn’t have a great start either and he dropped to 3-2 on the season.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings of work.
