Cardinals Held to Single Run In Loss to Braves

Braves 4, Cardinals 1  (54-38)

The Cardinals managed only one run on six hits in a tough loss to the Braves.  Orlando Cepeda singled home Roger Maris for the only run in the first inning while Maris was the only Cardinals with two hits in the game.

Nelson Briles took the loss and he fell to 4-4 on the season.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in seven innings of work.
