Cardinals Held to Two Hits In Shutout Loss to Phillies

Phillies 3, Cardinals 0  (91-56)

The Cardinals couldn’t get anythng going at the plate as they were completely shut down by Phillies starter Larry Jackson.  Curt Flood doubled and Lou Brock singled and that was it.

Dick Hughes fell to 14-6 with a tough start.  He gave up three runs on five hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.
