Cardinals 8, Robins 7  (64-50)

Bill Sherdel got knocked around and didn’t even make it through three innings in this one.  Fortunately the Cardinals stormed back late in the game and won by a single run.  Down 7-3, the Cardinals scored five runs in the seventh inning to beat the Robins 8-7.

Pete Alexander picked up the win with two shutout relief innings.  Billy Southworth had a huge game.  He went two for five with two homeruns and four RBIs.
