Cardinals Score Three In The Ninth To Pick Up Fourth Straight Win

Cardinals 6, Cubs 5  (72-44)

The Cardinals made it four straight with a nice come from behind win over the Cubs.  Roger Maris singled home Lou Brock to tie it and then Curt Flood scored on the play on an error by rightfielder Ted Savage.  Maris finished the game with three RBIs and Flood had three hits and two runs.

Al Jackson picked up the win.  He gave up a solo homerun in three innings and he struck out two to improved to 7-4.
