August 25, 1967 at Dodger Stadium
Dodgers 2, Cardinals 1 (78-48)
Larry Jaster was outdueled by Bill Singer as the Cardinals dropped the first game of their doubleheader with the Dodgers. Jaster gave up just two runs on four hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work and the loss dropped him to 7-7 on the season.
Lou Brock and Curt Flood were the only Cardinals with multi-hit games. Brock went two for four and Flood three for four while the lone run was driven in by Mike Shannon.

Cardinals 4, Dodgers 1 (79-48)
Al Jackson pitched the Cardinals to a win as they salvaged a split in their doubleheader with the Dodgers. Jackson improved to 8-4 and he gave up one run on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in six innings of work.
Orlando Cepeda homered and drove in two runs in the win. Alex Johnson went three for four and he scored a run.
