August 2, 1967 at Wrigley Field
Cardinals 4, Cubs 2 (63-41)
The Cardinals got right back on track as they opened up a doubleheader with the Cubs with a win. Dick Hughes threw another nice game and he improved to 10-3 on the season. He gave up two runs on seven hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in the complete game win.
The top of the Cardinals batting order got it done. Lou Brock went two for five with a stolen base, a double, two RBIs and a run. Curt Flood went three for five with a run and an RBI.

Cardinals 7, Cubs 1 (65-41)
Steve Carlton pitched a nice game that allowed the Cardinals to finish their doubleheader sweep over the Cubs. He improved to 10-6 and he gave up one run on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in a game where Carlton went the distance.
Brock went four for five and he scored three runs. Orlando Cepeda went two for four with two RBIs and a run.
