Cardinals 4, Braves 2 (31-26)
The Cardinals continued to play well and the won the first game of their doubleheader with the Braves with some solid pitching by Flint Rhem. Rhem gave up only two runs on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
Jim Bottomley had three hits in the game and he also had the only base hit, a triple, for either side. Taylor Douthit had two singles and he scored a run.

Cardinals 6, Braves 2 (32-26)
The Cardinals made it three straight wins with a sweep over of their doubleheader over the Braves. Vic Keen got the job done on the mound and just like Rhem, he gave up two runs on six hits. He walked five and struck out one.
Rogers Hornsby had a big day. He went three for five with two doubles and a run. Les Bell scored twice and had three hits while Ray Blades had three hits and a run.
