The Cardinals played their last NLCS game in St. Louis and they got the job done to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Once again, LaRussa did his micromanaging but it worked out and the Cards walked away with the win. Jaime Garcia gave up a run in 4 2/3 innings before yielding to the pen. Then four relievers combined for 4 1/3 innings to close the game out. Jason Motte was there in the ninth and for one run in th eighth and he picked up another save.
Matt Holliday went three for four with two RBIs. Yadier Molina also had a nice game and he went three for four with a run and an RBI.
The Cardinals can wrap things up tomorrow. Edwin Jackson gets the nod and the ineffective Shaun Marcum throws for the Brewers.
