The Cardinals needed twelve innings but they got it done and picked up their third straight win. The big hit was a three run inside the park homer by Julian Javier in the top of the twelth inning that won it for the Cards. Javier finished the game four for five with four RBIs.
Nelson Briles picked up the win although he needed to get only batter out to nab it. He improved to 4-2 on the season and Al Jackson threw a shutout twelth to pick up his first save of the season.
