Cardinals Win NLCS

by @ 6:20 pm. Filed under 2011 Cardinals

The Cardinals are in the World Series.  Game six was anti-climactic as the Cardinals doubled up the Brewers in a 12-6 blowout.  Rafael Furcal, David Freese and Albert Pujols all went yard in the win.  Freese finished with three RBIs and three runs while Matt Holliday went two for five with three runs.

Edwin Jackson didn’t last very long and well the pen was far from perfect, they were good enough with all of the offense.  Jason Motte once again got into the game and he struck out one in a shutout ninth.

The Rangers will be the next opponent and this will be nice because we’ll get to start at home.  Game one is Wednesday.
