Joel Piniero got off to a solid start against the Padres Tuesday night, but a 3-run home run by Kevin Kouzmanoff in the 6th was all the Padres needed as they put the Cards away 3-2. St. Louis bounced back to win the series last night, however, as they pounded out 16 hits in an 11-3 win. Braden Looper earned his 6th win of the year and the Cardinals hitters absolutely punished the Padres pitching corps. An Albert Pujols line drive hit starter Chris Young in the face, knocking him out of the game in the 3rd after giving up 3 runs. The onslaught continued against the bullpen as the Cards took the series and will have today off before heading to LA to take on the Dodgers Friday night.
