Reds 2, Cardinals 1  (24-16)
A really nice start by Dick Hughes was wasted with a lack of offense in the Cardinals 2-1 loss.  He gave up just two runs on three hits and one walk with thirteen strikeouts in eight solid innings.  The loss dropped him to 2-2 on the season.
