Cubs 3, Cardinals 2 (61-50)
The Cardinals jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the Cubs before Pete Alexander fell apart in the later innings. He was tagged for two runs in the sixth to tie the game, and then he Cubs go to him for a single, but important, run in the top of the seventh.
Ray Blades and Les Bell scored the two Cardinals runs. Taylor Douthit went two for four with a double.
