The Cardinals got right back to winning behind a strong game at the plate by Curt Flood.  He went four for five with a double, a run and an RBI.  Julian Javier singled three times and scored two runs while Lou Brock singled, drove in two and scored a run.

Dick Hughes picked up the win and he improved to 5-2 on the season.  He gave up four runs on twelve hits and one walk with seven strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings.  Joe Hoerner struck out the final batter and he picked up his third save of the season.
