The Cardinals continued to try to inch their way back to .500 with another blowout win over the last place Boston Braves. Ray Blades, Flint Rhem, Bob O’Farrell and Les Bell all homered for the Cardinals.
Rogers Hornsby and Bell both had three hits and two runs. In addition to his homerun, Blades also tripled in the game, and Heinie Mueller had a hit, two stolen bases, and two runs.
Rhem picked up the easy win. He gave up two runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
