Grover Alexander Holds Braves Down in Extra Frames in Cardinals Win

Cardinals 4, Braves 3  (71-51)

Flint Rhem gave up two one run leads, including allowing the tying run to score in the ninth inning.  Fortunately Pete Alexander was on his game and he gave up only a single hit in 2 2/3 innings.

Chick Hafey had the big hit.  He singled with the bases loaded to end the game.  Tommy Thevenow led the way with the bat.  He went four for five with two runs.
