Jaime Garcia Is Hit Hard In Game One NLCS Loss

by @ 4:56 pm. Filed under 2011 Cardinals

The Cardinals dropped game one of the NLCS in an ugly outing by Jaime Garcia.  The Cardinals were up 5-2 but then a six run fifth proved to be the difference.  In all, Garcia gave up six runs in four innings of work.  Octavio Dotel gave up a pair of runs as well.

David Freese hit a three run home run.  Lance Berkman had a nice game and he went two for four with a run and an RBI.  Rafael Furcal went two for five with two runs.

Game two is tomorrow.  It’ll be up to Edwin Jackson to tie this one up.
