Cardinals 11, Phillies 4 (22-14)
The Cardinals ran up the score on the Phillies in an 11-4 blowout win. Just about everybody got it done for the Cards at the plate but Lou Brock continued his nice start and he was a step ahead of the rest. He went two for six with two RBIs, two runs and he added two more stolen bases to bring his season total up to nineteen on the season.
Larry Jaster picked up the win with a rough five frames. He gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks with three stikeouts and the win improved his record to 3-1 on the season.
