Orlando Cepeda and Julian Javier carried the day with spectacular individual performances as the Cardinals got back on track with a win.  Cepeda went three for five with his 22nd homerun, four RBIs and three runs.  Javier went three for four with a homerun, three RBIs and three runs.

Nelson Briles improved to 8-5 on the season with an impressive start.  He gave up four hits and one walk with four strikeouts in the complete game shutout.
