The Cardinals continued their impressive month with their third straight win and their third winning streak of at least three games or more.  Orlando Cepeda provided the bulk of the offense in the win.  He went two for four with a big three run homer in the eighth inning.  Dal Maxvill went two for four and he drove in two runs.

Larry Jaster picked up the win with eight quality frames.  He gave up two runs (one earned) on ten hits and one walk with five strikeouts in eight innings of work.  Ron Willis threw a shutout ninth and he picked up his fourth save of the season.
