Pirates 6, Cardinals 2  (9-5)

Ray Washburn gave up five runs in 7 2/3 innings as the Pirates scored four late runs to top the Cardinals.  Washburn gave up eleven hits and walk and he struck out three.

Lou Brock got another hit and he extended his hitting streak to twelve games.  Alex Johnson and Mike Shannon both drove in runs and no Cardinal had more then one hit.
