April 26, 1967 at the Astrodome

Cardinals 7, Astros 2  (9-3)

Steve Carlton picked up a win in his first start of the season.  He threw a nice game and struck out nine in eight innings of work.  He gave up only two runs on five hits and two walks.  Dick Hughes pitched a perfect final frame and earned his second save of the season.

Lou Brock extended his hitting streak to ten games with his second triple of the season.  He scored and drove in a run.  Bobby Tolan and Julian Javier each singled twice and drove in a run.  All seven runs were scored by different Cardinals.
