Cardinals 6, Robins 3 (57-48)
Bill Hallahan was pulled in the fifth inning before he could give up the lead to the Robins, but Hi Bell came in and threw 4 1/3 innings of nearly flawless ball. He gave up only a single hit and one walk with one strikeout.
Ray Blades and Billy Southworth both scored two runs in the win. Rogers Hornsby finished the game with two hits.

The Cardinals won their fifth straight game behind a very strong outing by Grover Alexander. Alexander gave up only four hits without a single walk in the shutout, and he struck out one.
The Cardinals managed only five hits, but they also drew five walks. There were no real standouts as all five hits and all three runs were scored by different players.
